Recorded in 2018 this Song is in 13, not necessarily a common time signature. I didn't set out to write something in 13 but when i counted it out to put an Itabla pro rhythm to it for a scratch recording to send to Mir, it turned out to be 13, for me initially it was just a melody, a certain spirit and feel using and extending notes used in the Saba maqam.

Mir is an awesome human being and a very dedicated and talented tabla player from Bangladesh now living in Nyc, and he helped significantly in refining the 13 time signature towards the melody. He also as you will hear plays beautifully.

We had a lot of fun playing and recording this one.
