I wrote the majority of the composition while in Fez, Morroco some years ago. Fez has a beautiful, ancient and spiritual vibe about it and i really fell in love with the medina (the old city). I tried to put those impressions into the piece; blue, green, brown and gold tones, ancient, secretive, yet open and spacious, surrounded by nature and rolling mountains, chill, but with an urgently peaceful rhythm. This is also a favorite song to perform live and feature's an amazing frame drum solo by Shane Shanahan.
